Renew your licence for the 1 April 2026 - 31 March 2027 licensing year

In order to renew your practising licence, you must:

Update your contact details
Provide information relating to whether you are a fit and proper person to be issued with a licence
Complete the 2025 CPD course
If you have not yet completed the course, go to the CPD page to find out details on how to complete the course

Virtual licence cards

The licence card is virtual and can be presented from the PGDB app. You can order a physical licence card for the price of $4.50 incl GST by selecting the option in your trade login.

Licence card design

The Board has received queries about the back of the card where the authorisations are listed. The Board's logo design is used to correspond to the trade. We are often queried in particular about the drainlaying trade, as this appears as a circle. This is intentional and does no relate to specific licences.

Multi-factor authentication

What is MFA?
MFA is a security process that requires users to provide two or more forms of verification to confirm it’s you logging in, significantly enhancing protection beyond passwords alone.

Why the Board is adding MFA to the Trade Login
The Board has reviewed the existing security measures in place for the Trade Login and is introducing multi-factor authentication as an additional layer of security to further protect users' personal and professional information. MFA reduces the risk of unauthorised access, even if your password is compromised.
