Complaints

Maintaining and enhancing the professionalism of our industry is of the utmost imprtance to the Board. We will continue to actively pursue those people who choose to operate outside the law. If you know someone who is operating outside the law or believe work you have had done is sub-standard, you can make a complaint to us.

The Board currently accepts complaints under TWO separate complaints processes.

Who can make a complaint
under this process?

Make a complaint about a tradesperson
Any person
Make a complaint about the Board under the General Complaints Policy
Tradespeople (or provisional license holders) who are unhappy with a process or procedure made by the Board

From 2 May to 2 November 2011, the Board accepted complaints under the Historical Complaints Resolution Policy and is in the process of considering these. The Board is not accepting any further complaints under this policy.

Historical Complaints Resolution Policy
Tradespeople who may consider themselves wrongfully disadvantaged by an action, order or decision made by the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (the Board) under the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Act 1976 (the 1976 Act).
