Registration class name changes

The Board has announced changes to the journeyman and tradesman registration class names from 1 April 2025.

 

Whangārei man ordered to pay $4,100 reparation for unauthorised gasfitting

A Whangārei man who led two homeowners to believe “he was the man for the job” completed gasfitting work when he was not authorised to work unsupervised.

The man was sentenced in the Whangārei District Court in August 2024 on two charges of unauthorised gasfitting for work done at two Whangārei properties in 2022.

Man serving four-year fraud conviction found guilty of working as an unlicensed plumber

Bryan Martin was sentenced in the Manukau District Court in July on charges of unlawfully completing sanitary plumbing work and falsely advertising himself as a plumber.
